Your Take On Sports…

Dennis Rodman made a nice showing on Donald Trump’s hit show the Celebrity Apprentice. I’ll save all of you the suspense, he did not win… in fact, he’s already been “Fired” by the Donald. Gee, I wonder why?

The only thing I kept wondering as I watched Dennis destroy himself on the show was how the heck Michael Jordan ever controlled this maniac on the Bulls team for even 1 week let alone 82 games is beyond me. All kidding aside though, it’s apparent for those who watched the show (it’s available free online at Hulu) that Dennis Rodman has been battling real or imagined demons for awhile now. In some ways, I can relate to Dennis at times. His seemingly incoherent rationalizations almost make sense in a sorry pitiful way. Like the one time he suggested that spending money on Ferraris to be parked outside a hotel would be a good hype gimmick. I sort of know where he’s coming from…. sort of. I think we all can. Not everyone is happy go lucky all the time. We all go through phases where things are a bit off… and we only hope that we get back on track some day. But it’s obvious he’s got real troubles and I hope I never have to understand the depths why Dennis has to be the way he is… I just hope this once prolific NBA star manages to rebound once more…. in life.
